Series: The Crossroads of Human Disposition and Calligraphy
The idea behind "The Crossroads of Human Disposition and Calligraphy" was inspired by the concept that humans, as a species, naturally lean towards specific beliefs and tendencies that are outside the boundaries of social fabric. These beliefs are found universal in most humans and societies throughout history. In the ideas explored – ghayb (the unseen), nafs (desire), zuhd (asceticism), fitnah (temptation), and fasad (corruption) – we find dispositions that are influenced or escalated by internal and external forces. The inspiration for the words chosen were derived from my personal struggles and research in the set of beliefs I hold to be true.
